VICON CONGRATULATES BAFTA WINNERS

 

6 April 2010 Oxford, UK: Vicon, an Academy Award®-winning developer of motion capture products, congratulates the individuals and studios recognized at the recent GAME British Film Academy (BAFTA) Video Games Awards. Vicon motion capture solutions were used on many of the winning titles, including “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” the game the British public voted their favorite in 2009, via the special GAME award.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” was also nominated in the categories of Action, Artistic Achievement, Best Game, Gameplay, Multiplayer, Original Score, Use of Audio and Use of Online. Furthermore Vicon congratulates all those involved with these other BAFTA-winning games which also used Vicon’s motion capture solutions and services:

-“Uncharted 2: Among Thieves,” winner in the Action, Story, and Use of Audio categories and nominated for Artistic Achievement, Best Game, Gameplay, Multiplayer, Original Score, Use of Online and the GAME award
-“Left 4 Dead 2,” winner of the Multiplayer award and nominated in Action and Best Game
-“FIFA 10,” winner of the Use of Online award and nominated in Sports and Use of Audio

The GAME BAFTA Video Games Awards were announced at a ceremony held on 19th March at the London Hilton hotel.
