Vicon HOST LONDON SCHOOL TO GIVE INSIGHT INTO MOTION CAPTURE

Vicon, the leading developer of digital optical and video-based motion capture systems hosted the pupils of Lilian Baylis School, London to give them an insight in to the cutting edge industry of motion capture - allowing the students to generate their own material to be later animated into computer graphic characters.
 

The project culminated in an intensive two week residency with pupils and professional artists to create an exciting performance piece being shown at the "Take Action: Stunt Dancing" event at the Royal Festival Hall, London this weekend.

Take Action: Stunt Dancing takes a look at the

parallels between dance and fight choreography,

the daring feats the body can perform - and how motion capture technology captures human motion to create gaming characters and filmed action sequences. The Take Action performance can be seen at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 23 April 2005.
