TERMS & CONDITIONS:

If you wish to submit your entry to the Vicon film Festival (the “Contest”), you must signify your acceptance of the Rules and the following terms by [clicking “I accept” below] or [signing this document and returning it with your entry]:

I have read the rules of the Contest and I agree to them. I am the sole owner of all rights to the work I have submitted (the “work”) hat the dialogue, story and newly created characters are wholly original, and I created the work without any suggestion or request from any third party.

I grant to Vicon a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable universal license to use, copy, sublicense, distribute, display, modify, and translate the work as Vicon sees fit. I promise that I own the work, the work does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyright rights, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of any person or entity, and your delivery and out use of the work does not result in a breach of any contract with a third party.

I understand that Vicon has access to hundreds of ideas, stories and concepts for movies and use of its motion capture technology.

I agree to indemnify and defend Vicon and its affiliates and the judges against all claims, losses, expenses, damages and liabilities, if I do not satisfy all of the rules.

I understand that the submission of the work does not establish any fiduciary or confidential relationship between us, nor do we intend to create one. I have retained a copy of the work. Vicon shall not be obligated to return the work to me, and I release Vicon from all liability if the work is lost, misplaced, stolen or destroyed. Furthermore, I understand that it is my sole responsibility to register the work or otherwise protect it.

I understand that I must deliver the submission by the deadline to Vicon. Vicon is not responsible for lost or misdelivered entries. Vicon may elect to extend the deadline.

I understand that works submitted by more than one person are eligible, but Vicon will grant only one prize. If submitters of a work are unable to agree on the distribution of a prize, their work will be disqualified. Employees, contractors, or immediate family members of Vicon may not submit works.

I understand that decisions of the judges are final. If I win, I an solely responsible for income tax withholding and payments.

If more than one person is submitting the work, then references to “I within this release letter shall apply to each party jointly and severally.

The Rules and the terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. By using the site you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for resolution of any dispute, action or proceeding arising in connection with this Agreement of your submission of a work.
