The MX-3+ high speed motion capture camera is the most affordable way to join the MX family. Using a CMOS sensor with 325K pixel resolution means a pure digital signal with less noise or pixel jitter. Together with the revolutionary Vicon MX platform, the MX-3+ offers a cost-effective combination of high-speed, accuracy and resolution.
The MX-3+ camera is available with a choice of optically matched lenses and high powered strobes, and can be combined with other cameras from the MX series in a single system, to suit the needs of any user aspiring to capture 3D motion with the ultimate accuracy and performance. CAMERA PROCESSING ONE CONNECTOR. ONE CABLE. The MX-3+ camera connects via a single cable to the Vicon MX System. Custom-designed cables using robust Lemo connectors carry signal and power to the camera. The cabling is robust yet flexible, allowing rapid installation. REAL-TIME Customizable cable lengths and Gigabit Ethernet protocol deliver vast amounts of data from the camera to the Vicon MX kernel in real time. The system allows different camera types from the MX range to be connected and used on the same system architecture. Therefore, camera types can be optimized for speed and resolution depending on requirement.
Vicon MX offers a choice of high-power strobes with differing wavelengths, which can illuminate markers even at long distances. Moreover, the strobe characteristics can be tuned to the environment through the software.
The MX camera range is the first motion capture camera to use highly efficient, surface mount LEDs on the strobes. These strobes have the double benefit of being brighter than strobes based on tradiional LEDs, as well as spreading the light more evenly throughout the volume. LENSES Depending on camera resolution, a range of SLR and C-mount lenses of either fixed focal length or variable zoom types are available. In this way, the capture volume can be optimized dependent on environment and capture requirements. FEEDBACK The MX cameras have status indicator lights that provide feedback to the user of the state of each camera throughout set up, calibration and capture. These lights can be customized through the software to display user-defined states.
