MX Giganet

Welcome to the MX Giganet. The Giganet is the new core unit in the MX family, connecting your T-Series cameras and your capture PC. Giganet builds on the success of the MX Ultranet HD; it’s super fast and enables you to connect and synchronize more cameras than ever before.

GIGABIT ETHERNET
Gigabit Ethernet is fast. In fact, 10 times faster than previous systems. This gives you an improved preview mode, where you get to see the full frame video picture at a useable frame rate. An improved preview mode means better diagnostics, making your system easier to set up and easier to use.

CONNECT EVERYTHING
The Giganet includes a 5 port Ethernet switch for connection to the host PC, other client PC’s and up to 4 other devices including Basler GigE cameras as well as timecode and genlock to sync reference video with mocap data. For life science professionals, your Giganet will be configured with a 64-channel analog card to connect and sync Force plates and EMG as well as your MX cameras.

HD COMPLIANT
Giganet enables you to sync high definition studio equipment to HD compliant timecode. This means high end production users shooting on the latest generation technology can output to an array of sync formats including 23.976 fps and 24p (24.00 fps) for film as well as normal analog SD standards. Having everything in your production pipeline run at the same frame rate means you get high quality data on time, every time.

SYNCRONIZE EVERYTHING
The Giganet provides synchronization not only to the connected MX cameras and analog acquisition, but also to reference video and other measurement equipment that can receive sync pulses. In addition, the Giganet has four programmable sync ports which come with power so you can connect without having to set up power separately.

GIGACABLES
Improving on standard technology, your Giganet is connected and synchronized with your T-Series cameras through the Ethernet Gigacable. The Gigacable is easily distinguished from other Vicon cables in your lab or studio by its distinctive blue color.

DUST PROOF CONNECTORS
The Giganet uses dust proof connectors to improve the reliability of your system in dusty environments such as gymnasiums, sports halls and busy production studios.

SCALABLE ARCHITECTURE
No matter how your motion capture needs evolve, it’s always possible to expand and upgrade your Vicon system. Connect up to 244 cameras on a single system and an unlimited number by combining two or more systems.
