The Standard is published by Vicon as a service to everyone involved in motion analysis in science and engineering research and applications, including clinical gait analysis, biomechanics, sports medicine and performance studies, medical and veterinary movement analysis and rehabilitation development. The Standard is available online and distributed free of charge in paper format around the world. The Standard is currently published twice a year, regularly updated online, and contains articles by practising experts and leading authorities in movement labs throughout the world. Each issue contains articles and a "Conferences" feature, with news of significant upcoming meetings and conferences relevant to the field of coverage. Conferences of consequence are also often reported in some detail and the established "Literature Update" feature contains summaries of carefully selected papers published within the field of interest. The Standard online is continuously building a library, in the archive section, of informative articles and important literature selected from each issue, together with an archive of summaries in a growing range of relevant published scientific papers relating to movement analysis and biomechanics. New contributions are welcomed by the editors. The "Forum" page welcomes information and news to foster the exchange of scientific information across the globe.
