Call in the professionals. Many of our knowledgeable Vicon engineers have prior experience as Vicon customers in the Motion Analysis industry. Our experience ranges from gait labs, sports teams and biomechanics research facilities to games, film and computer graphics.

Nation Pitching Association (NPA)

Tom House, and the NPA team have worked together with Vicon to develop a comprehensive analysis of pitching in 3 dimensions.

The professional services process included the development of a custom Vicon BodyBuilder model and event calculations that will provide the pitcher, coaches and parents with a complete overview of the athletes pitching motion.

Vicon professional services empowered the NPA to create an athlete specific, multimedia and printable Vicon Polygon report including video, 3D data and graphical analysis.

The NPA pitching model, along with other proven coaching tips, provides a full-range of tools for pitchers to improve their performance and decrease the likelihood of injuries due to poor technique.

Biomotion

Vicon has worked with the team at Biomotion to help develop 3D Motionprint^SM.

3D Motionprint^SM technology is used to provide:

Differential Medical Evaluation - a dynamic functional diagnostic tool to aid physicians in targeting treatment for musculoskeletal injuries.
Functional Capacity Evaluation - a reliable determination of an individual’s physical capacity in relation to essential job demands.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Evaluation - an objective comparison of an applicant’s abilities with job-specific physical demands. Service can include onsite ergonomic assessment to develop customized ADA compliant job descriptions for employers.
Sports Skill Assessment - (coming in 2006) offered through sport “expert” partners, a detailed evaluation of technique and body mechanics to aid in training, development and injury prevention.

Vicon professional services assisted Biomotion with the development of their PECS (Pipeline External Communication Server) protocols as well as Vicon BodyBuilder model and Vicon Polygon report.

Professional services are available to Vicon customers and any company, university, hospital or studio with a need for motion capture services.
The customer will consult directly with our Professional Services coordinators, who can assess the required service needs and accurately estimate the cost.
