About the Role
We are seeking a Production Quality Manager who will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and delivering quality and compliance within the company as well as liaising with other group companies to achieve common quality and compliance policies. Reporting to the company’s ISO/Compliance Manager, the role consists of the following key areas.
Experience
The right candidate will have a technical, manufacturing, or engineering background and will have worked for 5 + years in a manufacturing or operations role leading quality/compliance processes. They will likely have experience working with high-tech design and manufacturing.
Essential:
Risk Management and Compliance:
• Experience with Risk Management (including FEMA’s) – BS EN ISO 14971:2021.
• Previous experience working with the following standards BS EN ISO 9001:2015 & BS EN ISO 13485:2016.
• Support internal records relating to compliance and quality throughout the design/production/manufacturing process/stages.
• Issuance of exception documents, such as Non-Conformances and CAPAs
• Support customer audits as well as auditing key suppliers and supplier visits.
• Support of product/batch record final release.
• Drive Continuous Compliance Improvements throughout.
Quality Management:
• Knowledge and understanding capability of product sampling procedures.
• Maintaining the company’s Quality Manuals, procedures, and related documentation.
• Generation of Validation / Verification documentation and testing reports.
• Responsible for ensuring new product developments are documented through the company’s Project Management System and through the internal Change Control Process.
Communication and Co-ordination:
• Liaison with cross-functional departments regarding compliance issues with products such as Research and Development (Hardware & Software), Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Liaison with the production department to allow for efficient expansion of internal production processes.
• Liaise between cross-functional teams regarding internal or supplier non-conformances, investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Ensuring appropriate Investigations and Root Cause Analysis into customer returns/remakes are performed in a timely manner and any/all corrective/preventive actions shall be introduced to reduce or prevent further occurrences.
Desirable:
• Experience in performing Internal and External Supplier Audits. Internal Auditor Trained.
• Experience using SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira.
• EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) experience, including testing requirements.
