Vicon Keynote: Creative Technology Discovery Cluster (C3)
June 17 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeThe creative sector sits at the forefront of technological change – continually evolving through advances in areas such as immersive media, digital production, AI and interactive design. As these technologies mature, there is a growing opportunity not just to apply them elsewhere, but to reimagine how the creative sector itself innovates, collaborates and grows.
Join Vicon at the next Creative Technology Discovery Cluster (C3) event, bringing together creative practitioners, technologists, researchers and organisations from across York and North Yorkshire. This session will explore what the future of the creative sector could look like – and how we can collectively shape it – while drawing inspiration and insight from innovation happening in other industries.
This interactive session will focus on future thinking, shared learning and collaboration, supporting participants to explore the future needs of the creative sector and how we can meet these needs to ensure the sector evolves and thrives in a rapidly changing landscape.
The programme includes:
- A future-focused keynote featuring Chris Williams, Product Marketing – Entertainment at Vicon, exploring emerging trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the creative sector through immersive technologies, motion capture and real-time 3D innovation
- Cross-sector insights highlighting what the creative industries can learn from innovation approaches in other field
- Facilitated group discussions to identify priorities, opportunities and practical next steps for driving innovation within the sector
- Networking opportunities connecting creative businesses, technologists, researchers and innovation leaders
- Meet and find out about current and emerging technologies
The Creative Technology Discovery Cluster (C3) supports organisations to unlock the potential of creative and digital technologies and is supported by the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, and regional partners.
