Vicon Appoints Ronan Smith as Managing Director to Drive Innovation, Customer Success and Growth

Oxford, UK – 2 December 2025 – Vicon, a world leader in motion capture, has named Ronan Smith as its new Managing Director. With extensive experience in scaling technology businesses and building high-performance teams, Smith will help accelerate the company’s next phase of innovation, expansion and customer impact.

Smith will oversee Vicon’s strategic direction, operations, R&D and customer delivery. His expertise will be instrumental in driving commercial growth in key sectors including media and entertainment, life sciences and engineering.

Smith’s previous scale-up and growth roles have included Commercial Director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), as well as Managing Director roles at Gartner in the UK and Ireland (NYSE: IT), RM plc (LON: RM) and Pearson plc (LON: PSON).
