Force Plate Butterworth Filter Cut-Off Visualizer
This file is supplied to illustrate the normal operation of the Nexus to Python interface.
Oxford Metrics and Vicon Motion Systems accept no responsibility for its correct operation.
This code can be used to visualize the effect of the chosen Butterworth low-pass, zero-lag cut-off frequency.
A trial must be loaded in Nexus and that trial must contain force plates.
When the code is executed, a GUI will populate. There will be a graph displaying the unfiltered data (blue) and the
filtered data (red) lines. On the left hand side of the screen are radio buttons that will allow the user to choose
desired force plate channel (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, MZ) for each force plate. At the bottom of the screen is the slider
with which the user can set the desired cut-off frequency (the default frequency is 30 Hz). There is a button to
reset the cut-offs, and another button to close the figure.
To run this code, the following modules must be installed:
– numpy
– scipy
– matplotlib
Written in Python 3.9. This has only been tested for two force plates
